The Nets welcome the Thunder to Brooklyn

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to deal with the absence of their two best players as they visit the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.

The Thunder lost Kevin Durant for at least the first six weeks of the season with a foot injury and then Russell Westbrook went down for at least four weeks with a hand injury. Not having Durant and Westbrook didn’t stop the Thunder from beating the Nuggets 101-92 on Saturday, with Perry Jones and Serge Ibaka scoring 23 points apiece in the win.

This will be the home opener for the Nets, who lost at Boston before bouncing back to beat the Pistons 102-90 on Saturday. Joe Johnson was outstanding with 34 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the win while Kevin Garnett looked like his old self finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Brook Lopez practiced yesterday and he is expected to return from an ankle injury in this game. Lopez has not played in a regular season game since December 20, 2013.

The line for this contest hasn’t been posted because of the uncertainty of the status of Brook Lopez. The Nets have lost five consecutive home games against the Thunder and this their best chance to end the streak, with the Thunder missing Durant and Westbrook.
