This policy explains what information OddsBay collects, why, and what choices you have. OddsBay is operated by Pura Vida Tech S.A., Costa Rica (“we”, “us”). We handle personal data in line with Costa Rica’s Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Persons with Regard to the Processing of their Personal Data.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you set a Price Alert, we store your email address, your preferred language and the alert details so we can notify you. If you use our contact form or write to us, we keep your name, message and email address and email address so we can reply.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our servers and security tools automatically record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use it to keep the site running, secure and free of abuse.
- Usage statistics. Some pages may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can block them with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tool.
- Searches. When you search for a game, we may record the search term, without linking it to you, to improve search results and see which games readers want.
We do not ask for, and do not want, payment details, account numbers or identity documents. OddsBay does not take bets.
How we use it
- to run, secure and improve OddsBay
- to send the Price Alerts you request
- to answer your messages
- to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting, email and security providers and Google Analytics, and only as needed for that purpose. We may also disclose data if the law requires it. When you follow a link to a sportsbook, you leave OddsBay. The sportsbook’s own privacy policy applies from that point.
How long we keep it
We keep Price Alert data until the alert is triggered, expires or you ask us to delete it. We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its use, by writing to privacy@oddsbay.com. We will reply within the time the law allows. You can also contact Costa Rica’s data protection agency, PRODHAB.
Age
OddsBay is intended for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
